Do we ever find out how they obtained a giant, mutant Impala? Is that 'Two Men and an Impala' is about?

"Two Men and an Impala" will have more explanatory information, but BASICALLY, it goes down the same way. John bought it off another guys before his kids were born.

You had me at "When heads need to come off, Dean’s an ax man.", and I enjoyed the entire ride. An IMPALA!!!! Amazing. Sometimes in AUs the boys aren't themselves, but you nailed the characterizations. Can' wait for more!

I'm so glad you liked it! I really always try to keep the characters right because i'm in this for Sam and Dean, and if they don't really show up, what's the point? Thank heaven there's just enough natural crack in Supernatural that zombies and deer!Impala do not stretch their characters to the breaking point.

This is just epic. Please, for the love of Chuck, write more of this! I searched for Crack!fic cause I wanted a good laugh. But this is gold. I really enjoyed this.

Thank you so much! I've been getting a little sidetracked from Apo-verse with other fic, but now I'm thinking I could finish it so quickly...if I just devoted myself to it (which is always the challenge).

So, I've been looking at this one kinds of sideways because there's a purple Impala in my neighborhood (one of the new models) and horrible (faaaabulous, but horrible) things happen to Dean in my head whenever I see it.

This is lovely, though (particularly at the beginning where you talk about weapons preferences), and Sam joining up with militia at Stanford (and being all guilt-ridden he didn't sooner) and finally getting it through Dean's head that his leaving wasn't about Dean, and doing it without words? The English language does not contain hyperbole enough to tell you how absolutely magical that moment was for me :)

But now I can't stop thinking about how FREAKING HUGE that deer must be ...

Hehe, I know what you mean. There's no denying that anything in this deer!Impala verse has a high weirdness factor. But I'm SO HAPPY that that came through. By the Sword is one of my favorites because it just feels so...clean in my head. The boys are whole in a way that doesn't happen all the time in the show (and what can I say, Sam with a sword is hot. HOT)
