I've just been in the slump it seems like, i can't seem to unravel from it. I've started composing again...i have these sparks of energy to accomplish it, but then it dies like a possum on the street. I understand how you feel on the dating someone who appreciates music as much as you do. I've often dated within the department here, but my current boyfriend played chello until his junior year of high school, and gave it up. He has an appreciation for music, he just no longer wished to create it himself, and sometimes, I feel sorry for him for giving it up, but at least he's experienced some of the same things that I have. Just date whomever is right for you.

yay for getting my music to me! (you are talking about me, right? lol). i've been looking forward to it for a long time.

as for finding 'the one,' i wish you luck. i thought i had found the perfect guy, who i thought was really in love with me and would always be there for me, and with a blink of the eye, he broke up with me on tuesday, after having a great week together, totally in love. i hope you can find the person you are looking for, as i will be doing the same, after a long healing process.

Don't sweat it.

Don't make a list of prerequisites for your potential mates to fill.
When you meet the right girl she'll understand you...therefore she'll understand your music and why you like other people's music.

And don't forget the most exciting part...what she's into that she can teach you.

Steph doesn't know a thing about art or comics or punk rock but she knows all about me and so she understands what I like those things.

As for going into your shell. Hey, I go out and I stay home and I am always loud and boisterous...and who really knows me?

Not many. Don't worry about it. Drinking in bars is for kids. Drinking and having fun at home is when you learn about yourself and your friends.
