Mark this day as the day i found out that i'm losing one of my best friends, my mentor, my second father. A man who has taught me so much and has always been there for me. It's now 9:30 am...conducting at 11, lunch at noon, pick up the jeep at 12:30...music history at 1...then at 2:30, we'll be off to Waverly (Wartburg College) for the 3rd annual Iowa Collegiate Music Educators National Conference, where i'll be battling with who knows how many for President of it. Duh duh duh DUH...an update...been through a lot lately...developed some lumps on my neck, didn't know what it was, CAT scan looked like cancer, had a biopsy (took out one of the lumps), turned out not to be cancer, but all i got out of it is a "All i got out of this surgery was a crappy scar on the back of my neck and this lousy tshirt" tshirt...j ( Read more... )
