SWtOR: the Big Damn Review

My first intent was to post this right after the NDA was lifted shortly after Thanksgiving. However, I decided to wait until I could actually play the game 'for real' first, to see if my initial impressions were correct. So- here they are.

This is loads of stuff, but does it add to the Star Wars mythology in any significant way?

That's a good question. I really don't know for sure. You see, I don't know much at all about the expanded universe. If it didn't happen in the movies, it's very hit-or-miss about what I know.

I can guess that it does, however. It takes place 3,000 years before Episode I, so there's lots of room to fill in gaps and elaborate on important events. Although I would argue that it isn't as important for an MMO to add to lore as it is for other media.
