Remus Lupin was born to a loving, fairly well-to-do couple in the suburbs. It doesn't really matter which suburbs, because they moved to Middle Area shortly after he crossed the threshold from baby to toddler. He has no siblings and was raised in a very white-bread, churchgoing, almost-too-wholesome sort of way. Really, the only thing that makes him stand out from the majority of middle America is his Tourette Syndrome.
