... I used that device to get a look back home. It looks like everything is going well there... mom is doing alright, and it seems my friend Sonia is starting to play music again. I saw my friends from school, too... everyone seems worried about where I'm gone, but I'm glad they're okay

...you know, personally, I don't really see the point.

Unless your world is one hell of an exception, most of the people torn here seem to be from realities where raging evil, would-be world dominating despots are a dime a dozen. Taking a gander through the looking glass, you run a HIGH risk of seeing your world completely vaporized or taken over, and there's nothing anyone here can do about it.

... I would think people from those kinds of worlds would want to know. I mean, I was pretty sure my mom and friends were okay, and I wanted to make sure that there were okay.

Let me handle this. Listen here, you. I saw my entire world literally go up in flames once already. Even if I knew it were in danger without me, I'd want to know, even if it meant seeing something like that a second time!

So, what? You can sit here, worry and distress over something that's far beyond your control, distract yourself from the matters at hand here, and very likely get yourself killed in the process?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not preaching to YOU. Your world's all fine? Great. But I'm just saying in general that anyone who does this runs a high risk. It doesn't mean they're stupid, or anything like that, and it's ... human nature to worry about your loved ones.

But... eh.

The people who'd end up like that would be weaklings who wouldn't have the strength to keep on fighting. If we did find our world in ruins again? Geo and I'd just keep in struggling so we could make it back as fast as possible...!
