Isn't it annoying?

Isn't it annoying when your family and friends keep insisting that you major in art even though in the real world, getting a decent living in that field is like winning the lottery?

That's the reason why I'm looking into either drafting or computer programming this fall.

Well, I have a degree in graphic design, and in 5 years it hasn't gotten more than $15.00 an hour at a job I dislike. that's not to say that's everyone's career path, but you'd be better be fantastically good or be able to combine your design skills with web programming skills (in fact I might recommend you do that instead, learn as much web stuff as possible!). Do not go into printing -- it is a dying industry.
