Jean-Luc is home! Apparently he's not 8 weeks, he's 4, which is a bit concerning--he probably shouldn't have been separated from mom so early. But the owner wanted to get rid of the pups, so...yeah. Poor little dude was terrified and whining the whole car ride home, but now he's all conked out in his cage.

BTW, four weeks is awfully young to be separated from his mother, but you can manage. Talk to the vet (as I can see below you're planning to).

We had a cat whose mother had gotten caught in a dog fight and killed so she was only about four or five weeks old when we got her. She lived to be 20, almost 21. It just takes a good bit of TLC to get them through the early weeks.

VERY CUTEZ! 4 weeks IS really young tho- ask the vet for suggestions, because they *really* shouldn't be away from their mothers until they're at least six weeks, so it'd be good to get suggestions on what to do to make this easier on him.
