Harry switched on the lights as he held open the door to his flat.  They were greeted by an annoyed hoot from Hedwig, obviously disturbed from her sleep.  Hermione walked into the hall, and after closing the door behind them, he ushered her past the dining room to the kitchen, where he pulled out a seat at the kitchen bar.
