So... apparently the contract is on its way so I can delay no longer. I have set myself a 1,000 word a day target this week, rising to 2,000 next week. It was slowish going because I have to think myself back into the world ( Read more... )

Well, I liked both those, so that might not be a bad thing. :)

I suppose the request for "the same but different" is why so many people write series.

Sympathies on the marking. I'm procrastinating on the marking I'm supposed to be doing too. I have no problem critiquing the stories, but it's hard to pin it down to a precise percentage grade and because I'm being nitpicky about their writing, I feel compelled to make sure that my comments contain no spelling or grammatical errors, which means if I'm not careful that I'll go over everything obsessively instead of just doing it and sending it back pronto.
