Although it may feel like segragtion for you. I think radio has matured, music has too. It is more complex which gives way to streaming radio, and satelite.

I think artists are now able to mix their genres and are not able to be pigeon holed into one category like they were when we were younger.

im glad they dont play MC HAMMER 50 hundred times a day?Remeber that?

haha yeah but now they play 'Ridin' Dirty' by Chamillionaire 50 times a day!

I guess I just miss the days when I could listen to Run DMC, Van Halen and Billy Joel and it was ok to like all those (its sort of like Amnesia!)

I don't think the kids these days do that anymore or the get ostracized.

Hmmm.

A couple of years ago when my computer was being repaired I actually went to an cyber cafe where this kid had just left this terminal. He was a typical kid wearing long black t-shirt, baggy pants and i think he was wearing g-unit shoes, he actually forgot to log off lime wire....you know what he was downloading????

so really, you can't really generalize about the youth today, im sure if you really asked them what they listen to when they were young you might be surprised.
