The legs look much better now. They actually have a mechanically sound look instead of just rotating on ball joints. Kudos on that. I need to sit down and really mess with the hair modifier.

Yeah, I recognized the basis for it as one I've used several times. It just makes sense to have it rotate on one axis mechanically speaking. Logic > fiction. ^_^
One critique, looking at the pictures, is the way the mesh smooth contorts around the base of the legs and the mouth. It detracts slightly from the mechanical feel of the spider. Looks more plastic than metal, I think is what I'm getting at.
