I think I mentioned this before, but I'm the type of person who sometimes try to read works of mangaka's that it had never interested me before, then I would download all of the scanlated ones, and try to read them all to see if my first assumptions based on type of art, plot and such, were wrong.

I've also read Dog Style, and really enjoyed it...I agree with you about the interesting balance between experience and inexperience, that led even to sweet moments (the seme who tries to do his best after he learned about his mistakes..). I also like story where there is a progressive development of the feelings for each other: they became not only lovers but also friends, deeply understanding each other...
And finally, yes, sex scenes are really hot...
