Hello y'all!!!!!!
Today is more of a wondering thought than anything else...
I'm only guessing here, but I think I'm not the only one who thinks every time I'm reading manga/watching anime etc, etc, that the characters "never" look like japanese, right? It's the eyes, the hair color, the face, etc, etc...

It's true, manga characters rarely look Japanese, even when they're pointedly supposed to be Japanese. I wonder why that is. Maybe the mangakas consider more Western looks exotic and attractive? (I know I used to gawk at blonds all the time when I first moved to the mainland... I was like, "Teh OMGs, blonds are real, and they're not all somebody's mom!" XD)

Hmm, I don't normally do that because here in Brazil we are such a mix of things, so it is normal to see blonds, asian, blacks, all sorts of colors really. ˆˆ'' I normally gawk at people's eye colors, I'm a total sucker for green eyes, and here in Brazil we usually have brown or black, even though from time to time you can find blue, green and gray as well ˆˆ

I rarely see green eyes, but considering how little attention I pay to eye color, that might just be me. (I got my best friend's eye color wrong after we'd known each other for years, and when I say wrong, I mean really wrong-I guessed brown, and her eyes are super super super light blue. And why did I guess brown? Because of the four of us who were tight, I couldn't believe I was the only one with brown eyes, and I had pictures of the other two for my art reference.) Anyway, in Hawaii, almost everybody is Asian or half Asian, so seeing so many blonds elicited a shock-and-awe reaction when I moved. XD What I really don't get, though, is all the itty bitty blonds who are in their twenties and about as tall as the little old Japanese ladies...
