Your post came through fine.

Pet Semetary is the only example I can think of for non-human zombies. Alien zombies would be the next frontier.

Philosophical zombies-- hypothetical creatures which behave exactly like people without being conscious.

Oh yes. Peter Watts' Blindsight is one of the best and most chilling novels I've read in years, for its poking very very hard at consciousness.
