About a month or so ago I got on facebook. Got a message today from a H.S. class mate that friended me on facebook (I don't remember her off hand but she was friended to several other clasmates I know. And I am horrible with names

I recently encountered a friend on FB that I hadn't seen since high school, 27 years ago. She's still in our old hometown. Being just back from Pennsic, I'd mentioned the event, and she asked questions, stating that she'd been interested for a while in the SCA but wasn't sure if there was still a group locally. I sent her a link to the Shire of Heronter in Aethelmearc, since that's the group for our hometown. She put in a call that afternoon, began attending meetings the following week, and is now a paid SCA member attending events, making garb, and hoping to be at Pennsic in 2010. I'm looking forward to hanging out with her there, and probably at an event or two between now and then. :-)

That is neat. Mentioning Heronter reminds me, some day got to make it back to Harvest Raid. Haven't been there since Diarmait moved back to Ohio.
