For the last song, everyone piled on stage. Security tried to block as many people as they could (which wasn't really anyone). This one guy was positioned right in front of me. I evaded the tackle, swiped the setlist that was taped to the monitor as I ran by, and more or less fell onto the flight case/drum riser. As more people piled aboard and pushed, I nearly fell onto what looked like a bunch of small children. I think it was just because I was standing up a little higher, or maybe the only other people who made it up on stage were between the ages of 15 and 18. Anyway, I decided to play security guard and stand with my back to McColgan, keeping the kids from knocking him onto the drummer. More kids pushed, I tried to reposition my footing, and nearly fell on all of them. At that point, McColgan grabbed me by the boat shirt and pulled me back onto the box, and gave me the mic to sing the rest of the chorus. Deathgrip on the shoulder of my shirt. Funny shit.
