One of the things that bothers the hell out of me about living here is you can't find a decent library! Ugh. The one in town is no bigger then a small bathroom, the town over is just a little bigger and so on. Of course their books are over a thousand years old and they barely have card catalogues. Going to bookstores is evil because I can't leave

you should come here, there's a library on every corner. (okay, not that many) the one downtown is AMAZING and huge and books everywhere. heaven.

i had to laugh the one day when i was sitting reading a book at the local library here. some girl was looking for a book on some obscure topic or another, and she asked the librarian. the librarian asked her if she'd been to the college library, and when the girl said yes and that they didn't have anything, the librarian said something like "honey, we're just a little public library" and i almost burst out laughing because just that branch of their "little public library" was about four times the size of the one in my hometown :)
