I totally agree with you on all counts--your playlist must be similar to mine. I'd add the Clash or Ramones, too, though. :-)

The Ramones played in my city when I was a senior in high school but my parents wouldn't let me go because it was a school night. I *still* haven't forgiven them!

That's because it's totally unforgivable! The Ramones played a free lunchtime show at The Civic Center in '78 or '79 so a whole bunch of friends and I took the bus down. They rocked! I saw hem several times through the years, but that show was so weird and fun because it was broad daylight and outside. I couldn't believe those guys ever saw daylight.
