Yesterday the mister went in to the orthopedist and had his cast removed. The X-ray shows the metacarpal is on the mend and he was fitted with a removable cast. He has the rest of the week off and then starts half time on Monday. I'm well behind on all my TViewing and fannish reading but it's been fun having him underfoot. Granted it's only been two weeks but I'm glad there wasn't any tension (other than his making fun of all the HGTV and cooking shows I watch).

He's super easy going so any friction would have been on my part. I'm glad I was able to keep it under wraps. So I'm three episodes behind on everything, does that matter in the long run? Nope.

So glad to hear the Mister is on the mend. I work from home, and three years ago when my husband took a job where he also worked from home, I was braced for escalating tension and possibly a double homicide. Instead, it's turned out to be so nice to have him around, we can spell each other to go out on errands or appointments in the daytime, and it's nice just to have another grown-up around to keep me from going stir-crazy.

I was worried, too but we got married because we're a good match. It's been a pretty great retirement preview. I just wish he'd scheduled getting a plumber in while he was off work. I hate having strangers in the house.
