Simple PC Games

I've recently been looking for a bunch of simple little games to play on my computer that don't really require sound. I want something that I can play while listening to music or a podcast. Avernum 4 from Spiderweb Software really fits the bill even though I've only played through the demo. That game is a pretty simple but decently entertaining RPG

Tetrinet remains a favorite to me... there are a lot of things out there though. I recall a PBEM version of diplomacy that I heard was really good (though getting a group organized for that would be difficult).

outside of the regular games, there's also subspace, which was one of my favorite games in high school, now revamped as freeware. man i missed that game so much...
