So, About the time i posted the last of my Great Britain pictures, I switched over to a new computer with the latest version of iPhoto. I played with it a bit, and while I love the face recognition and tagging tools, I hate the fact it stores the photos in a place only accessible from iPhoto. Call me late to the party, but:

1) I hate the iPhoto database as well.

2) I work around it by: in iPhoto Preferences, set it so that when you click the "edit this picture" button, it opens the image in Photoshop for editing. Photoshop will save it right back in the database for you, or let you "Save As..." to anywhere you want. This discovery has been a lifesaver.

3) Command-Shift-E. Saves the image as a JPEG to anywhere you want. I save to a "Web Images" folder, which is auto-synced to my Photobucket everytime I boot up Firefox. Real time saver!
