I'm a bit gutted that there were no decent pictures of me from the Maelstrom event... my costume can't have been that rubbish, surely?
Ah well, the guy taking photos doesn't get to be in them, and I know I made some people happy with my pics...

I didn't want to intrude on people. I didn't want to draw attention to the fact they were being photographed because that would have interrupted whatever they were doing.. (plus the 'oww my eyes' factor of the flash doesn't help)
Maybe lots of other people felt that way too... maybe even during the day.
As well as the old 'damn, I left my camera in the tent' and 'woah, I was soo busy I forgot I had my camera with me'
Plus, there could be hundreds of photos of me sitting in ye-olde photo-reactive chemical based appliances of photography, waiting for the rest of the roll to be used up, or primitive-tech, paper-based images sitting in peoples personal collections, whose owners have not the time, inclination, or means to put them on the new-fangled international computer network thingy.
Don't film cameras seem positively Victorian nowadays? ;)

Maybe thats another reason, people can't take photos effectively in their masks... (especially with old fashioned film cameras where you have to use the viewfinder) ;)
