Brian got me the Hellsing DVD and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I am only about midway through Hellsing. I also picked up the second manga book and read through it before I watched it. It's fun. I am so in love with the Valentine brothers... but not so much them as the shotty cartoon them where it shows the dog biting on Luke's head

Hellsing = cool. Valentine brothers = cool. Alucard = cooler, >>>>>>> than any other weenie anti-hero evil character (yeah, eat it, Spawn and McFarlane)

As for D . . . well, dude's got big ass katana, a talking hand, and takes bullets like an M1 Abrahms Tank. The chick flick style is thus easily forgiven. If every chick flick had the main male or female protagonist with a big sword, talking hand, and took a clip from an AK, then every guy would watch every chick flick ever made. YOu know what? All chick flicks should have swords and dudes taking hits like a man. That way, I can like A Walk to Remember without hiding it from my friends when they come over.

i think most guys got a thing for VHD before the Bloodlust movie came out, see the VHD movie from the mid 80s, that is what most of us saw first, also for the record, D is a total badass, that is why guys love that movie.
