ho hum. i went on a nice hike in the catskills yesterday. i met a native american! he was lenape and his name was He Who Stands Firm. he even showed us his driver's license!! he was kind of scary. at first we thought maybe he was going to kill us. but then he just talked about trains. it took 3 hours to get home. there was so much traffic.

i may have read that book, though i'm not sure. it was nice up there...leaves were at peak color change. allegedly you could see vermont and mass. from the summit where we were, though we don't entirely believe that....
