Hi
I live in Northampton, too, and teach sixth grade over in Southampton.
I just found your webcomic -- I love it -- great humor.

Do you think you will compile the comics into a book someday or will you stay on the web?

This summer, I am teaching a week long summer program for middle school kids on comics and graphic novels over at Smith Voke, with the intent of having them make webcomics (using Comic Life). Do you think I could persuade you to visit the kids one day and talk about what you do in the world of comics?

Thanks and keep up the funny work

Peace,
Kevin Hodgson

Oh
I meant to add that I grew up in Connecticut, not far from Sleeping Giant Park -- the small mountains (with a castle on top) really looked like a giant asleep.

The sleeping giant myth seems to be one of those ones that transcends culture. I wonder what it is that makes people see mountains (or hills, or depressions) and think immediately of monsters? My favorite part of the Wampanoag myth of the giant Moshup (from which I sort of borrowed this idea) is that he supposedly created the island of Nantucket by cleaning out his pipe. I'm guessing that real-estate agents omit that detail when selling property.

Thanks for the kind words!

To answer your other question... I don't have any immediate plans to collect the strip. It's sort of a time-consuming process that I'm not overly fond of (I tend to be very picky when it comes to my own work, and usually find twelve million little things that I want to correct before putting it into print!).
