They really aren't excuses. In fact, most of them cause stress because they involve the LACK of excuses/actively ignoring bits of reality: "not making mistakes" "not actualizing full potential" "perfectionism" "conscious of whole situation" etc.
They're definitely moreso just explanations for why stress comes up. I mean, the idea of "excuses" is like detachment and blame... how is someone who states these things are true excusing themselves from responsibility for themselves...?
