As promised, some photos
We had lovely Welsh weather two days ago, when I took these photos, so it sets the scene.
Here's a full photo of the house. Most of the downstairs space is garage. The best part about living in this home is that my dad built it.
This photo shows the landscape within which the home is set. The ridge above the house is home to two nesting eagles. They return every year and fly above the ridge and the land from late spring to early fall - although I haven't seen them yet this year. Two years ago, I would sit outside and watch their mating dance in the sky - remarkable! Most of the foliage is pine trees and scrub oak.
View from out my studio/office space. There is a flagstone patio off the back, and we are hoping to put a fountain in the middle (grassy) area of the patio. Pond and rolling hills of the land beyond.
View of the roof lines and tree line from out the back balcony. The "outbuilding" is a kiln room which houses my mother's pottery kiln. I'm going to plant berry bushes at the posts of the patio overhang (it's just beams at the top) and hope that they cover the patio after many years.
I am so thrilled to be living in such a beautiful home!
