Requesting opinions, please!

I am wondering... Do I really need a microwave???? I lived for over two years without one and didn't miss it very much. What do you think???

I spent the morning at Sears looking at appliances.

Thanks, Lori! Y'know, it's times like this, when I really miss having a partner. It would be nice to be doing all of this with another - as we build our life together - however there's also something to be said for having my home the way that I want it (especially after the last relationship).

I was thinking about the water dispenser last night and agreed that it was a good thing - plus it dispenses the ice. Still wavering on the microwave, and I appreciate the feedback of your experience.

I hardly ever use the microwave. Left overs taste better when you reheat them on the stove top or toaster oven.

Mars, Blondie here...Finally:-) WOW! What awesome appliances...Beautiful! We have stainless steele...I like the way they look, but they do seem to attract fingerprints and despite the fact they they are supposed to be "stainless" they do attract stains too:-( The only thing that I've found that cleans them well is a product that is banned in California so I really don't like to use that...any suggestions on safe, effective cleaning products would be welcomed:-)

As far as the microwave, I only use mine for heating and defrosting...So I guess you can take it or leave it...:-)

What about those convection ovens? Have you looked into those?
