I did not not that your house was hit by a plane during the war. Did they destroy the house?

Ich sag mal so: es war schon vorher durch ne Bombe plan, aber die Waschküche stand noch und da hatte die familie gelebt...die war nach dem Absturz ebenfalls dem Erdboden gleichgemacht.

haben damals Deine Großeltern drin gewohnt?

Ururgrosseltern,Urgrosseltern, Oma (Oppa war in Gefangenschaft in Russland), ihre Schwester zeitweise und mein Vater...also full house und denn nix mehr...Barackensiedlung für 2 Jahre.

That is so amazing to find out about the plane that crashed into your family home. They really do look very young don't they?

It's so surreal somehow...10 american boys lost their lives just where I sit today...and my family lost its home. It didn't take them too long to start building a new house though.

Does your family have any pictures of your destroyed home?

[brynhilda]

I think so, my dad started to search the old boxes...i think I've seen photos once.
