I still find it weird that when I go to North Carolina that you can smoke in so many places. I'm just used to the California way of life where if you want to light up, you have to go outside. And I'm thankful for that, even though I smoke on occasion.
I was rather appalled by that one myself. There's nothing more annoying than knowing that people's right to suck carcinogenic toxins into their lungs trumps my right to breathe clean air.
But it does concern me a bit just how CLOSE the Stem Cell race was. Granted, I voted against (and you're right, no debate needed), but I would have preferred to "lose" by a landslide, than to know that almost half of the state agrees with me. I don't think it's ever a good sign when the vote is split as badly as that one was.
