So, on my way home today, I got a speeding ticket. And I really don't think I was speeding. I may have been going 69-70 in a 65 zone, but the cop said I was going 79. Call 816-TRAFFIC. It's the law firm I used to downgrade a speeding ticket a year and a half or so ago. You can tell them your situation, see what they think...but most likely, you'll just pay the $200+ (fine and fees) and go on about your day.

Man, that sucks. I've only gotten one speeding ticket in the last five years and that one was kind of ticky-tack too (I was doing 80 on the freeway -- which is my usual "cruising" speed -- but I think the only reason I got busted was because I changed lanes) but I was clearly speeding so I swallowed and took my ticket like a man (sort of). I just chalked it up to the cost of driving.
