YES THANK YOU. Made all the better by the fact that, since Ann wrote 1950s amounts in these 1980s books, that's kind of true.

Mary Anne does a quick scan of her room to make sure it's acceptable to male eyes. She spots Claudia's rag doll and stuffs it under the bed

Wow, that's...kinda creepy given that it's Claudia's room, not hers.

I don't know if that how people used to phrase it but I've always thought it sounded stupid as Hell. It's always hard to tell if Ann's weird writing is from her being ancient or from her being a bad writer.
