Mrs. McKeever for her three year-olds, Buffy and Pinky--I truly feel like the girls should've immediately thought of 'pet names' when hearing those two names. I don't know any Buffys irl. I'm familiar with Buffy Summers on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and Buffy ? from Family Affair. I realize later on we get a character that has the nickname of "Pinky". That character wasn't fond of the nickname at all ( ... )

The girls act like this is the worst thing in the world and are “saved” when Stacey comes by.

Wow, yes, thank God for Stacey, I mean Janine might have beaten them up and stolen their lunch money or something. How did they make it middle school if this is the worse thing in the world?

I'm surprised Kristy didn't figure out sooner.

So am I.

She flashes the news to MA later, and MA responds with TOO BAD. The way it's written in all caps makes it look hilariously sarcastic.

LOL! Maybe it is.

Okay, small children or dogs, you don't put fragile things all around your house if you have them.

No, you don't.

Sam wouldn't be caught dead with a junior high girl, but when he saw Stacey, and Stacey showed him what she had to offer, he went back on that pledge.

LOL! I bet he did.

Compare this book's “What? You do? Oh.” to a later book's “You want a sitter for Jamie Newton on Saturday?”

As an ex drive thru worker, what kills me about this is that there totally is a natural way to repeat back what your customer said, but the ghosties just didn't put that much thought into it.
