totally dibble: re-stamp

Nov 16, 2011 23:01

The first time I was stamped, about 2 years ago(?), I was stamped as Kristy. My application was on the short side, though, and I think I did an awful job of explaining myself (it's hard!). I've spent more time on this application and I think it represents me much better than the last one, so I'm curious to see who I'll get now!

THE USUAL STUFF:

Name/Nickname: Courtney.

Age (no one under 13, please): I'm in my sophomore year of college. So, yeah.

Yourself in 3 words: introverted, ambitious, passionate

Strengths: I am very determined. Maybe it's a pride thing (I hate not knowing how to do something, or having to ask for help), but I don't mind working on something for hours and hours to get it right/figure out how it works/etc. I have a pretty good memory, too!

Weaknesses: I am painfully shy, especially in groups... I really can't stress that enough. If I am one-on-one with someone, though, the situation is sometimes a little different; I may be shy at first, but I usually warm up after awhile. (Around people I know very well, I can even be a leader when I need to.) As far as more minor weaknesses: I am an awful procrastinator (but I always manage to get everything done on time, even if it's finished at the last minute!), I stress over everything, and I hold grudges forever.

Likes: Chocolate, Diet Coke, animals, Apple products, roller-coasters (I love adrenaline), haunted houses, Wii Fit (it works!), Guitar Hero, Gossip Girl. This article.

Pet-Peeves: Sexist people. Conceited people. People who constantly ask retarded questions. People who insist on having their nose in other peoples' business. People who try to force their views on everyone else. Glee, and musicals in general. (If everyone around me randomly started singing/dancing, I would be completely freaked out. Just saying.)

Hobbies: Reading, bike riding, shopping, going to the movies, web design/development, programming, baking (I can bake, but I can't cook actual food to save my life). I'm also really into collecting miscellaneous Harry Potter items. I have: an Extendable Ear, a copy of The Quibbler, two wands, a Hogwarts keychain, a floating wand pen, Hermione's Yule Ball earrings, the Time Turner necklace, a jar of Lemon Drops and two Chocolate Frog cards from the HP theme park, various HP bookmarks, a Gryffindor flag, a Gryffindor sword letter opener, a Hogwarts quill and ink, the Marauder's Map, etc. I'm a dork.

How would you describe your personal style? Casual, but a little preppy, I guess. I'm pretty picky with the clothes/accessories that I buy, *especially* my shoes and purses, but I hate wearing skirts/dresses. (I own exactly two skirts and I think I have worn each twice - to funerals, every time.) Most of the time, you'll spot me wearing skinny jeans, a pair of heels (or boots, in the winter), and a dressy-ish top (I rarely wear tee shirts). When I want to dress up, I usually just wear dress pants --- black, gray, brown, whatever. (I don't think I own a single pair of khakis.)

FAVORITES:

Food: My favorite food seems to change frequently, but I would kill to eat the salad at Olive Garden every day.

Snack: Cran-grape juice.

Color: Purple, black, green. In that order. I hate orange, yellow, and lime green.

Type of music: Rock, alternative. Fall Out Boy and Bon Jovi are my favorites. I also listen to a lot of Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, and ACDC.

Movie: I don't know! Some favorites include: Mean Girls, The Young Victoria, and The Social Network. ... I have a variety of interests?

Animal: As far as pets, I used to say cats were my favorite, without a doubt... until I got a dog. Now I love both equally. I also like panthers, dolphins, deer, koala bears.

Book Genre: I hate romance. (I can't stand Jane Austen, either. *duck*) Seriously, nothing makes me cringe more than a corny romance novel. I don't mind reading a romance plot, but I like for there to be more to a story than getting Person A and Person B together. I like all other genres about equally, just depending on the particular plot: historical fiction set in Victorian England or during the Revolutionary War, fantasy, mysteries. My favorite classic is Dracula, my favorite series is Harry Potter (I know, how unoriginal), and Anne Rice is one of my favorite authors. I also have quite a few guilty pleasures, like BSC and Percy Jackson.

School subject (even if its been awhile!): My favorite subject was constantly changing when I was younger. One year it would be English, then Math, then History, then Math again, then Biology... I'm interested in quite a bit. I'm currently in college as a Computer Science major and I'm strongly considering pursuing Mathematics as a minor. So, there's that. I also took Sociology in my freshman year and loved it.

BSC-Related:

Sitting Charge and why? I love the Pikes, especially the triplets (Jordan is my favorite). The Pikes, to me, always seemed like such a fun family. (And the Pike kids acted far more normal than the ~perfect Perkinses or insanely sweet Jamie Newton.)

Minor Character and why? Maggie Blume... and, well, the California Diaries characters in general. I found their plots and characterizations far more interesting than the regular series.

BSC pairing and why?: Bart/Kristy (Alan and Kristy would end up murdering each other), although I also like Sam/Stacey. But I'm pretty flexible with pairings.

BSC Book?: This changes a lot, too. I guess it depends which characters I'm in the mood for. Kristy's Big News and Mallory and the Ghost Cat come to mind, though.

Favorite BSC vacation spot?: London, England! My family usually goes to Florida for vacation, though; so Disney World is great, too.

LEAST favorite BSC Character and why?: Myriah Perkins, enough said. I can't stand Derek Masters, either. Or Rosie Wilder. Or the Barrett/DeWiits.

OPTIONAL:

If you want to, include a picture of yourself or just describe what you look like! I look younger than I am. I'm short, about 4'11", and have brown hair (to my shoulders) and brown eyes. I'm about average build, I guess; not big, but not rail-thin either.
