Laura smiled softly, feeling the faintest bit of amsuement rise up inside of her at having to explain this concept. "A daydream."
"But I'm awake," Caprica repeated.
"Yes," she closed her eyes and shifting slightly, trying to ignore the tug of the tape on her skin where the IV held it in place. "It's a fancy.. something you want to happen, right?" One of her eyes opened and she turned to see Caprica nod. "You think of something and it's a dream you get to create; it could be anything."
"Do you daydream?"
"Mm." Laura's eyes drifted shut again, exhausted, but the corner of her mouth managed to turn up.
Carefully, Caprica reached forward and laced her fingers through Laura's. "I think of you," she murmured softly, knowing the older woman had fallen asleep. "On Earth. You're holding my son, looking at him like you did all the children on New Caprica. Like he's a miracle."
