This is sweet and quite shippy. I like the connections that Saul draws and how he recognizes Laura's aloneness in her faith.

Thanks. I think this is actually the first time I've done a Saul POV, so I'm glad his thought processing worked out.

Saul and Laura comfort on/after NC is totally what I was looking for! It's just perfect, doesn't need to be any shippier than this :-)

Oh, this made me tear up for both of them. This is a special kind of shippiness, almost bromance. There's so much agape love here in such a tragic place.

Bromance seems to be going around, lately.

Tragedy is such a useful stepping stone in bringing people closer to others and their faith.

Eee! Saul/Laura! I'm so glad someone wrote this!

This is lovely. I really like the faith connection, since I have religious!Saul in my headcanon. It fits perfectly here as a connection between them.

Religious Saul really works for me too. I don't exactly see him going to temple, but I can see him having regular.. chats, or something along that vein.

Oh, this is just fascinating and chilling.

Saul used to be a solider.

My heart just breaks for Saul here, and I'm just shuddering thinking of how you have him overhear Laura. Then I really like the connection you make at the end between the two of them and what he hopes to learn from her.

Whatever Saul is on NC, until he just fights back, isn't defined. Retired? Mustered out? Fighting would be what he knows, but defining why..

I think the two of them could have built each other up quite a bit if they were willing to share with one another at that time.
