I'm throwing out the rules for the next couple of days, because I've been wanting to do this again for a while as it was so much fun last time. Now that the Pentathlon and most gift exchanges are over, it seemed like a good idea, and I thought it might liven up the quietness of LJ a little bit too.

"A lot of people have been renewing their vows since the exodus."
"Excuse me?" Laura looked down to the priestess at her side. She was bundled up against the cold of the freezer compartment, looking unusually round.
She bobbed her head in the direction of where Tom stood with Lee, trying to get him to speak into the recorder.
"We aren't married."
"Maybe not formally, but I know a union when I see one."
"We're not religious."
"Sometimes it's good just to say things out loud."
She'd known Tom for almost ten years. If they had anything to say to each other, they would say it. They didn't need someone in a garish turban standing around patting them on the back for doing it.
Laura stuffed her hands into her pockets and started walking. She needed to keep her blood flowing if she was going to stay warm.
