I'm throwing out the rules for the next couple of days, because I've been wanting to do this again for a while as it was so much fun last time. Now that the Pentathlon and most gift exchanges are over, it seemed like a good idea, and I thought it might liven up the quietness of LJ a little bit too.

Kara had to promise a few hours of manual labor for it, but the bottle of ambrosia, two-thirds full, is worth it. She pours it generously into metal cups that thunk together when they toast the occasion.
After a drink, Sam clears his throat. "I didn't know leftover ambrosia was the recommended gift for one-month anniversaries."
She laughs over the rim of her cup. "Stick with me, Sammy. You'll learn a lot."
"I'm feeling enlightened already."
Despite his teasing, his smile is so big and genuine she that she finds herself leaning in, responding in kind. It doesn't take cups full of ambrosia to make his arm circle her waist or make her face tip up to his in blatant smiling invitation, but she's stubborn enough to insist on a refill before she backs him against their new bed and he lets her push him onto it.
"What's this?"
"What's what?"
"This." Reaching toward the pillows, she pulls over a hardback and reads the cover. "Faster ( ... )

I think they got through a page or two, but only because Sam's stubborn and likes the challenge. She never said he had to keep his hands to himself while reading!
