Other people then give you a prompt in the form of a common fic trope. It can either be a general fic trope (babyfic, for example) or a BSG specific trope (brig!sex).

You then play about with your pairing and the trope to see if you can come up with something unusual with them.

I suppose this is an excuse to write a scene from an AU I started working on the other day. So here's a teaser to what will hopefully be a fully completed multi-chapter story one day

I LOVE THIS. SO MUCH.
Interesting how they didn't let themselves come up with a name until everything turned out okay. Guarded yet happy Laura is great.

You know, I didn't think of them holding back on a name because of that- but it actually makes a lot of sense.
I may borrow that when I eventually/probably never/in a few years get around to writing the full story of this.
