Driven to Distraction

He had just started to move --"At last," his brain crows--when he first hears the distant yelling.

Laura’s hips undulate between him and the sandbags.

He can’t discern whether the sounds are real or imagined, courtesy of that strange herb they’d smoked.

She reaches up to cup his cheek, then slaps him lightly. He grins; they are both a little silly tonight.

“Stay with me, sailor.” Her pale eyes gleam in the moonlight.

Finally the vaguely familiar noises stop. He leans down and murmurs into her ear as he thrusts deeply.

“I’m here,” he promises. “And I’m all yours.”
