I love the beauty in the realism you've painted here. More proof that real is sexy and that people do not need to look like airbrushed Mattel toys or glossy magazine centerfolds to be utterly compelling.

What a wonderful pairing! I never thought of these two but...yes, yes, yes. Makes so much sense.

Oh... This is a beauty of a story, and I'm so happy it got recced over in the writing comm. :) I love the realism of this (physical and emotional), and I love those little snippets and hints you provide in such a self-contained scene and snippet - they are still fully fleshed characters.

Also, I have to admit - this has NOT been a pairing I've seen, so BRAVA! :D

So much to love here, and it hit lots of my happy places. Cottle still loving his wife even as he moves on is so much my headcanon for him. And Elosha...there's not much fic out there that lets her be sexual but she speaks so much truth about love and feelings, it seems like it would be natural for her. They seem like a good fit, with their caretaking sides and their more-than-most knowledge of how people work, the secrets both their vocations carry.
