Summary: Six takes a walk down memory lane.
She doesn’t remember anymore if the baby had been crying or not before she did it. She remembers the weight in her arms, and the snapping sound the neck had made when she applied pressure. But she can’t remember the sounds, and so assures herself of the fact that whatever had been before, there was silence after.
She remembered when it started, later that evening. What really jogged her memory was the sound. The cacophony of humanity crying out to their false gods, just before the world as they knew it ended.
Whatever had been before, there was silence after.
