Challenge 3 entry!

Feb 15, 2005 22:49

Hi, new here etc etc, thought I would join by entering this week's challenge. It's not 'nice'. As much as I would prefer to have a little interpersonal interaction going on of the more physical nature, it was angsty even before I started writing it down. So:

Title: Don't Leave Me
Author: Leda13
Rating: PG, I'd guess. I'm not great at ratings.

Oh, poor Starbuck! That's a wonderful bit of angst there that works well in the context of the stress and loss they've both experienced. What a great line to pull her back, too!

thanks! For a first fic in a long time (that I was brave enough to post) and with no beta'ing done, I think I can be glad of comments like that =)

*whispers* It's supposed to be in first person.

Aside from that, though, this is a great fic. You did a good job making it angsty without going overboard.

Okay, I fixed it. That wasn't too hard, considering it was Lee's PoV written 3rd person anyway, heh. Thanks for the help, makes me realise how much I need someone to beta these.

And thank you for the compliment =)

And it works well in first person too, so it all works out. (I don't know if you have regular betas, but for future reference, I'm more than willing to beta stuff if you need it.)

I'm very interested in your limited 3rd person POV you originally wrote. Such things do not have to be in first person. Will you send it to me at innogen_cray at hotmail dot com? I really like this.

Very powerful writing. I'm not sure if I agree that Starbuck would end her life with a self-inflicted bullet, but it sure had me thinking. Great job!

One of my favorite types of fanfic is the story that does make the reader think, that isn't "cut and dry" and leaves a lasting impression. You done all three of these things with me, so my hat's off to you.

I hope you don't mind, but I'm adding you to my flist. Can't wait to see what you write next.
