Very pretty, very moving--especially that last line. I like how you used fragments and semi-colons to heighten descriptions. It was very, very wonderful.

grr. I thought I had already commented on this. guess it's a good thing I went ahead and clicked on the cut-tag, then, huh. ;)

this rocked. like a lot. the style served the story well, as did your take on Helo. I'm not totally sold on a few smallish points, but beyond that, I loved this.
