Am I remembering correctly that it was due to the actor's schedule which was possibly impacted by the writer strikes? Or did that get mixed up in my head? Anyway, I agree that the sudden lack of Leoben after this is odd. Especially when she's trying to figure out her "destiny" - you'd think he'd be around.

Somewhere there's an icon that says something like "if Leoben's scared, we're all screwed" or something like that. It always struck me as eerie that he's so freaked out by Kara finding herself dead that he disappeared. Creepy.
