Oh wow, so hurty and rich and all the truths here. And the light sweet touch of Dee running matchmaking programs :-) The last part was something I didn't know I needed to see until I read it, the aftermath and all the subterfuge early on. The detail about different currency on NC and what that mix meant was such an interesting touch, a reminder of how complex surviving under occupation was.
