This was great! It was so wonderfully unexpected to get to see this relationship in action!

Cally's voice is pretty spot-on here, and I love how you capture all the things I've speculated about her - that she would have a close relationship with her parents, that she would be frenetic in her sexual urges, that she would love Brendan so fiercely. I like how ther love is so quietly, undramatically devoted to each other. They feel like the romances of the fleet, as opposed to the high drama and angst of a Kara and Lee, which you so nicely contrast by putting them into this story here and there. (Btw, I loved this line: He flicked his eyes toward them as he reloaded, and Starbuck was all but climbing Apollo like a tree, and Apollo was looking down at her like she was some kind of chocolate he'd been craving all his life.Brendan is much more nicely drawn here than in canon. I especially liked his interaction with Lee and his brother-in-arms/acolyte's devotion to Kara. It was really touching and had a sweet and admirable quality to it

And the story! This is exactly how I imagine Brendan and Cally. Sweet and not terribly complicated, but there are definitely issues because hey, it's the end of the world. And Chief giving Cally away??? I never knew how very, very, very VERY much I wanted that until I read it. I almost squealed outloud. The only time I've written this pairing it was post-divorce, so it had never even crossed my mind. But I LOVE it. And I love the way all the crew is into each other's lives. It seems very realistic in a situation like that.

I love this full look at Cally. I love the love story, too, and it's sweet and perfect and what she deserved, but she also deserved her whole story, her traditions, her multi-generational family history...I really like her happiness here. And that she married someone who hadn't broken her jaw :-)
