I love all the description here, and being inside Gaeta's head, feeling all the things he's feeling.

I can imagine that four months without Kara would have made Sam a mean person, especially after a year with her. Gaeta is the perfect person for him to go to, since the man is lonely, was Baltar's head of staff, and looked good in bruises.
