“It tells people things like where the restroom is....”
“It’s an integrated computer network and I will not have it aboard this ship.”
“I forgot you were one of those people, you’re actually afraid of computers.”
“There are many computers on this ship but they’re not networked.”
“A computerised network would simply make it faster and easier for the teachers to be able to teach....”
“Let me explain something to you...”
Laura sighed. He was going to preach to her now, as if he was standing in a temple talking to the Gods themselves.
Commander William Adama, self righteous fool.
Bill Adama, love of her life.
“Is that clear?”
“Yes sir.”
“Thank you. Excuse me.”
He walked away from the one woman who could infuriate him to the point of losing control, much more than Carolanne ever did. Her curt reply, was said in jest and she knew it would infuriate him, just like she knew what the sight of her legs in that skirt would do to him.
Damn it, Bill, get a hold of yourself.
“You ok there, Bill?”
So caught up in his thoughts of a certain Madame Secretary, Bill hadn’t noticed Saul Tigh approach him.
“Just had a meeting with the Secretary of Education, Saul, how do you think I am?”
“How is your ex-wife?”
“There’s a reason we got divorced, let’s just leave it at that.”
There were many reasons for their divorce. Both of them were workaholics, he was constantly away in space and when he was home, she was constantly at one function or another. They couldn’t agree on anything and fought all the time, but the making up was worth the pain caused by their harsh words.
Secretary Laura Roslin, stuck up school teacher turned Politician.
